Environmental Efforts

Umeda Kogyo aims to contribute to society through environmentally friendly initiatives in the metal product manufacturing industry, mainly in the field of precision sheet metal working, under the philosophy of “Leave the Blue Earth as it is”. Recognizing that we must pass on the irreplaceable earth to the next generation without polluting it, we aim to “see, be seen, and display” our environmental activities in all aspects of our business activities, products, and services, and to contribute to society through our environmental initiatives.

ISO14001

In March 2007, we obtained ISO14001 certification. ISO14001 is an international environmental standard established to minimize the environmental impact of corporate activities. Environmental Objectives
  • 3% reduction in company-wide electricity consumption compared to the same month of the previous year
  • Periodically monitor the amount of solar power generation to detect abnormalities
  • Increase recycling rate by consciously avoiding wasteful disposal of scrap
  • Minimize the number of defects and loss costs

Solar Power Generation

Umeda Kogyo is working on solar power generation as part of its energy-saving measures and CO2 reduction efforts. Approximately 200,000 kWh of electricity is generated annually, resulting in an annual reduction of approximately 110 tons of CO2 emissions. Furthermore, a system to monitor power demand is used to visually monitor power consumption and provide warnings in the event of excessive power consumption, thereby contributing to power saving.
